4+1 Affiliated Program with UPenn
Haverford works with University of Pennsylvania to offer accelerated-degree (Master's degree) partnership programs. As a biology major at Haverford, you may apply to either 4+1 Bioethics Program or 4+1 Bioengineering Program. While enrolling in the program, you can take undergrad courses at Haverford and grad course at Penn simultaneously. You would be allowed to take up to 3 graduate-level courses that counts toward grad credits when you are still at Haverford, and finish the rest of the program requirements in your fifth year at UPenn (sometimes it could be 4 + 1.5 = 5.5 years in total). After you complete all of the requirements of master's program, you will achieve either a Master’s in Bioethics (M.B.E) from Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine or a Master’s in Engineering from Penn's School of Engineering and Applied Science.
